The belt

If your GE dryer don't tumble properly or don't tumble at all. One of the parts that you need to check is the belt.

The front drum bearing assembly

The front of the drum or tumbler rides on the front drum bearing assembly. This front drum bearing is made of hard plastic and it use teflon strips that the front of the drum rides on top of them. When the teflon strips wear out the drum rides on the plastic and this will make the dryer to run noisy or it may not tumble at all.

Rear drum bearing sleeve

This dryer also use a rear drum bearing with a teflon sleeve that the bearing rides on it. When this rear bearing teflon sleeve wears out the dryer will run metal to metal and will get noisy and also could stop tumbling.

Idler spring switch

This dryer use an idler switch that is turned on when the belt is around the tumbler drum.
