The tub wear pads could be the reason why your Whirlpool direct drive washer is shaking or vibrating too much.

They are made of Teflon plastic and the purpose is allow the tub assembly to align itself during the spin cycle.

With time and usage, this Teflon pieces wear out and the tub assembly shakes all over the place. To correct this problem you will need to replace them.

To replace them do the following. Disconnect the washer from the wall outlet. Turn the water faucets off. Remove the fill hoses and the drain hose.

You will need to lay down the washer on the floor. Then you need to remove the worn out tub wear pads and install the new ones.

Calling a repair company to check and repair the washer could be very expensive. Let me show you about how much could be the cost of replacing this part in your washer.

You will have to pay a service call to come to your house and check the washer and that could be from $90.

If the problem is a bad pusher the cost for a replacement could be less than $15.
