Timer Push Pull Switch

Performa Washer By Maytag

If the problem with your Performa washer is that is not doing anything in any of the cycles that you tried on, the problem could be a bad timer push pull switch.

This switch is inside of the timer and is used to turn the timer on or off.

Most of the switches in the washer are turn on or off without electricity passing throw it.

Because electricity is ready to flow throw this switch when you turn it on, the contacts spark. This sparking will wear out the contacts until the contacts no longer close or open properly.

When the push pull timer switch goes bad, you need to replace the complete timer assembly.
