Thermal Cut Out Fuse
Whirlpool 27 Inch Electric Dryer
If the problem with your Whirlpool 27 inch electric dryer is that is not heating, the problem could be a blown thermal cut out fuse.
These dryers us a safety thermal cut out fuse on the outside of the heater box to open the heating element circuit if for any reason the heater box overheats.
These are the main reasons why the heater box could overheat and blow the thermal fuse.
- An obstruction anywhere inside of the exhaust hose (The obstruction could be near the blower wheel, or at the end of the exhaust hose)
- Or a stripped or damaged blower wheel (It could be stripped threads or broken vanes on the blower wheel)
