If the problem with your GE Hotpoint electric dryer is that is not starting in any of the cycles, in other words the dryer is dead. The problem could be a bad start switch.
The start switch is a temporary switch on the motor circuit used to start the motor. Once the motor is running, the switch is out of the circuit until the motor stops running.
When the motor stops running, maybe because you opened the door on the dryer during the cycle, then you need to use the start switch to turn the dryer motor again.
