The voltages at the terminal block

The first thing you need to do when your Whirlpool electric dryer is not starting in any of the cycles that you try it on is the voltages at the terminal block. The dryer need to get 240 volts for the heating element and 120 volts to run the motor and the timer

The thermal fuse

This thermal fuse will blow up if the temperature in the dryer get too high inside of the dryer. When this thermal fuse bows you will need to replace the thermal fuse and the operating thermostat

The door safety switch is a safety device that will prevent the dryer from starting or running if the door is open or if the switch is bad. This switch could be the reason for a not starting Whirlpool dryer.

Timer assembly

The timer is the brain of the dryer. It is use to select deferent cycles. With time and according to how often the dryer is use the internal contacts inside of the timer could get burned out preventing to send electricity to the motor.
