The power cord
If the voltage at the wall outlet is OK, the next thing to check is the power cord to make sure that is in good working order. Watch the video a few times until you learn how to check & replace the power cord in your Performa washer.
The door safety switch
The door safety switch is used to stop the washer motor from working if the door on the washer is opened. A bad door switch could be the cause why your Performa washer is not starting or running.
The timer pull / push switch
The timer pull push switch is used to turn the timer on or off. If the contacts of the on off timer switch fail to close, the washer is not going to start the wash process.
Motor overload switch
This motor overload switch is used to stop the motor from running if the motor is overload. Motor overload could be cause by washing too many big loads at a time.
