The manufacturer recommends that the operating or cycling thermostat be replaced if the thermal fuse blows out.

The power cord 3 prongs: You will need to check and make sure that the power cord is in good working order. Disconnect the dryer from the wall outlet and visually check the power cord for burn wires or plug terminals.
