The pump: If the washer is not removing the water from the clothes and the tub, the problem could be that pump is not working. These washers use an electric pump that the timer has to send electricity to the motor in the pump when is time to drain the water from the tub.

You could check the pump with a homemade test cord. Take a long extension cord and attach 2 insulated alligator clips to it. Disconnect the washer from the wall outlet, remove the front panel to gain access to the pump. Disconnect the 2 wires from the pump motor. Connect the test cord to the terminals that you just remove the wires from on the pump.

Connect the test cord to the wall outlet. If the pump motor runs and starts removing the water from the tub, then you know that the problem is not the pump.
If the pump motor doesn't run, then you know that the problem is in the pump. Make sure to check the inside of the pump to see if anything is stuck in the pump impeller before replacing it.

Obstructions: A common reason why the washer doesn't drain the water from the tub is cause by obstructions in the pump or in the hoses. Make sure that you check the hose coming from the tub to the pump, check the inside of the pump and the hose coming from the pump to the drain pipe.

The timer: you need to also makes that the timer is sending about 120 ac volts to the pump motor. The easier way to check it is by disconnecting the wires from the pump motor. Set your multimeter on  a scale that could read 120 ac volts. inset the multimeter test probes in the terminals of the 2 wires disconnected from the pump motor.

Plug the washer on the wall outlet, set the timer on the spin cycle and turn it on. If the reading is about 120 ac volts, the timer is working ok. If the reading is less than 80 volts, the problem could be in the timer or in the wires coming from the timer yo the pump moto.
