A noisy Maytag washer could be cause from many parts inside of the washer.
I will show you how to check each one of the parts in the washer that could be causing the noise problem.
The front panel: Before you could check the internal parts in your noisy Maytag washer that could be causing the noises, you will need to remove the front panel. Click on the link below to see how to remove the front panel.
The motor: The motor could be one of the noisy parts in the washer. Bad motor bearings could make the washer very noisy. Click on the links below to see how to check and replace the motor.
Motor Glides & Springs: Dry tracks on the motor mounting plates could cause the motor glides & spring to be noisy and also could prevent them to give the belts the proper tension for the agitation and spin cycles. Click on the link below to see how to remove and replace them.
The Water Pump: Another part that could become noisy is the water pump. The most common causes for the water pump to become noisy are items like hair pins and coins left on the clothes that you are washing falling out and ending on the pump impeller. Click on the link below to see how to check & remove the water pump.
Damper Pads: Your Maytag washer use 3 damper pads to prevent the tub assembly from making contact metal to metal with the bottom part of the washer.

Brake Assembly: The brake assembly could be dried out causing the washer to make screeching noises when the drum stops spinning. Check the link below to see how to check & replace the brake assembly.
