The
drum baffles:
Loose or broken drum baffles could be
the reason why the dryer is running noisy. Open the
door on the dryer and check the baffles to make sure
they are screwed in tight.
Also some times coins get inside of loose baffles
and sound like a rattler.

The blower wheel:
Broken fins or vanes on the blower
wheel could cause it to run off balance and make
noises.
Also foreign objects falling
through the lint filter opening could wind up
rubbing against the blower causing big noises.

Idler pulley:
A worn out idler pulley wheel or a
dry out wheel could start to make rattling or
squeaking noises.

Drum support rollers:
The drum rides on top of 4 drum
support rollers, 2 on the front and 2 on the back.
Worn out drum rollers will cause the
drum to run rough and probably bounce around hitting
the back and front panels.

The motor:
The bearings in the motor could be
worn out causing the motor run noisy.

The belt:
A stretched belt could make squeaking
noises.As you could see,
the noise or noises could come from many different
parts in the dryer. You will need to check each one
of the mentioned parts until you find out which part
is making the noises and replace it. |
