How to fix your Whirlpool 27 inch gas dryer when is making noises

If your Whirlpool made 27 inch electric or gas dryer is making noises when is running...

You will need to check each one of the following parts until you find out what part or parts are causing the dryer to run making noises.

The drum baffles:
Loose or broken drum baffles could be the reason why the dryer is running noisy. Open the door on the dryer and check the baffles to make sure they are screwed in tight.

Also some times coins get inside of loose baffles and sound like a rattler.

The blower wheel:
Broken fins or vanes on the blower wheel could cause it to run off balance and make noises.

Also foreign objects falling through the lint filter opening could wind up rubbing against the blower causing big noises.

Idler pulley:
A worn out idler pulley wheel or a dry out wheel could start to make rattling or squeaking noises.

Drum support rollers:
The drum rides on top of 4 drum support rollers, 2 on the front and 2 on the back.

Worn out drum rollers will cause the drum to run rough and probably bounce around hitting the back and front panels.

The motor:
The bearings in the motor could be worn out causing the motor run noisy.

The belt:
A stretched belt could make squeaking noises.

As you could see, the noise or noises could come from many different parts in the dryer. You will need to check each one of the mentioned parts until you find out which part is  making the noises and replace it.
