If your Whirlpool direct drive washer is leaking water when is filling, when is washing or when is spinning.
You will need to check the following parts until you find out the part that needs to be replace to fix the washing machine.
Here I am going to give you a brief description of the parts you need to check, and below you will have the links to the pages with the videos that will show you how the repair is done.
If your Whirlpool made direct drive washer is leaking water, let me show you what parts you need to check and how to check them.
Cabinet Removing: The first thing you need to learn to be able to repair your Whirlpool made direct drive washer is how to remove the cabinet and how to install it back properly.
The Water Faucets: Make sure to check the water faucets where the fill hoses are connected. Make sure that water is not dripping from the faucets and running down the fill hoses to the floor.
The Fill Hoses: Check the fill hoses to make sure that water is not leaking from pin holes on the hoses. Also check the rubber washers in the fill hoses. You should replace the fill hoses if they look frail or if they develop blisters.
The Water Valve: Check the water valve for pin holes or cracks that causes the water to leak water out in to the floor. Another place that the water could escape from the water vale is from the threads that the fill hoses connect to the valve.
The Water Level Switch: If the water level switch fails to switch from filling to agitating the washer will keep on filling and it will overflow.
The Water Level Switch Hose: A disconnected water level switch hose from the switch or from the tub will cause the washer to keep taking water and overflow in to the floor. A pin hole on the hose will be as if the hose is disconnected and cause overflow.
The Tub: A crack or pin holes on the tub will cause it to leak water in to the floor.
The Tub Center Seal: Rust from the center post could be the cause for the washer leaking water.
Watch the videos a couple times before trying to do the repair, make sure that you know how the parts are checked, removed and replaced before ordering any parts.
After viewing my videos you will see how much money you will save by doing the repairs yourself.
A repair company charges a service call that could be about $90 plus about 1 hour minimum for labor and that could be $70
You could save at least $160 per repair if you do them yourself. You also will pay less for the parts when you buy them yourself.
So, if you are ready, let's do it.
