Idler Pulley Older Style

Maytag Original Electric Dryer

If the problem with your Maytag electric dryer is the drum is tumbling too slow, the dryer is making squeaking noises, or is not tumbling at all. The problem could be a worn out older style idler pulley.

The idler pulley is used to give the belt the proper tension. If is not turning freely it could cause the belt slip causing slow rotation of the drum.
