Exhaust Hose

Whirlpool 29 Inch Electric Dryer

A kink exhaust hose could be the problem why your Whirlpool 29 inch electric dryer is not heating properly.

This hose is used to direct the heated air exiting the dryer, to the outside of the house.

It is 4 inch diameter hose that is made of aluminum or heat resistant material.

The biggest problem is that the user leave it too long and it tend to kink restricting the air flow to the dryer.

You could tell if there is a restriction the air flow by touching the top of the dryer. If the top of the dryer gets extremely hot that indicates that no air is circulating.

That could be a kinked hose or accumulation of lint inside preventing air flow.

The best way to connect the exhaust hose is by using 4 inch 90 degrees flexible metal elbow attached to the hose.

Make sure you cut it just as long as you need it and no longer to avoid restrictions. Also make sure that you don't kink it by pushing the dryer against it.
