Learn How To Fix A Not Starting Maytag Washer

The not starting Maytag washer videos in this page are provided to help you learn what parts you need to check and replace to fix your Maytag 2 belts original washer when is not starting. Watch the videos a few times until you know how to do what I am showing you in the videos.

The wall outlet: The first thing that you need to check when your Maytag washer is not starting or not doing anything, is the voltage at the wall outlet that the washer is connected to. What the video below to see the easier way to check and make sure that the voltage at the wall outlet is ok.

The power cord: After making sure that the wall outlet voltage is OK, the next thing you need to check is the power cord in your Maytag washer. You need to make sure that power cord is providing the washer with the right voltage for the washer to be able to work.

The front panel: Before you could check the internal parts in your Maytag washer that could be causing the noises, you will need to remove the front panel. Click on the link below to see how to remove the front panel.

The door switch: The door switch is used to prevent the washer from running if the washer door is open when you are using it. So if the door switch is bad then the washer will not do anything. The links below will show you how to check & replace the door switch in your Maytag washer

Timer on/off switch: The timer switch is used to turn on or off your Maytag washer. If the contacts on the switch are burned out, the washer will not start.
